We would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous year. Although we hope for the best, it is certain that addiction will affect us all in dynamic and irreversible ways. To counter this epidemic, Sober Eyes was formed. We are a group of professionals, community members, and people in recovery who are trying to reverse this terrible disease, no matter the substance, whether it be alcohol, meth, heroin, prescription drugs or anything in between. We combat the power of addiction.

Sober Eyes is funded entirely by donations. Your donation will have an impact on all those in recovery and will be used to meet operational expenses, training and education, sober events, travel, and ultimately a facility we can call home. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Soberize, Inc. (also known as Sober Eyes) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (ID #31954), therefore, your donations are tax deductible, and your contribution will stay local.

Sober Eyes offers support in the form of targeted groups, individual, peer, and spiritual support, and social strategies that enhance networking and a positive sober lifestyle. Problems as of late have compelled us to humbly request your help. We are facing issues (partially due to Covid 19) of decreased donations, limited face-to-face opportunities, isolation, and transportation difficulties resulting in increased stress, especially for those in recovery who are seeking help. With the opportunities that Sober Eyes offers and the increasing popularity of our group recovery sessions, we are having a difficult time meeting local needs. This does not take into account the broadening regional demand for our services.

When first initiated in 2017, we had an average attendance of 5 people per meeting. In 2020, pre-Covid, we had an average of over 40 people, some travelling up to 80 miles to attend a Sober Eyes meeting because of the new and unique model that Sober Eyes offers. We believe the popularity of Sober Eyes is due to our core ideals, for example:

• Sober Eyes believes in the power of the individual to create and maintain change.
• Sober Eyes believes that the core of any support system is the ideal of the family.
• Sober Eyes believes that addiction is a matter of life or death.
• Sober Eyes believes that the opposite of addiction is connection.
• Sober Eyes believes that “battery charging” is essential.

To summarize, there is no doubt that a critical need for recovery services exist. We have a proven record of local individuals maintaining a path of sobriety, ultimately becoming contributing members of the community. We do, and always have, believe where there is breath there is hope. A contribution to Soberize Inc. would shine a bright light into the sea of darkness. Below you will find some of the needs we have identified for continued growth.
